Ludisphere is journalism about the game industry — reported stories, analysis and opinion columns. This page explains the limits of that work so nobody mistakes a feature for something it isn't.

Editorial, not advice

Our articles describe and interpret what's happening in games: launches, deals, studios, the market. They are not financial, legal, investment or career advice, and they aren't recommendations to buy, sell or fund anything. If a story touches money moving around the industry, treat it as reporting on someone else's decision, not guidance for yours. Get professional advice before you act on anything with real stakes for you.

Opinion is labelled

Columns carry a byline and a role because they're the writer's view, not a Ludisphere verdict. Analysis is our reading of the evidence at the time of writing; reasonable people in the industry may read the same facts differently, and often do.

Accuracy and corrections

We report carefully and check what we can, but the games business moves fast and details shift after we publish. We don't guarantee that every figure stays current, and prices, dates and plans mentioned in coverage can change without us updating an old piece. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and note what changed — tell us at [email protected] and we'll look straight away.

Independence

Insider passes and reader support fund this work, not the studios we cover. That's the whole reason for the membership. We take no payment to write about a game or a company, and coverage is never a favour to an advertiser — there aren't any.

Outside links

We link to sources and further reading, but we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they publish or how they treat your data. Follow them at your own discretion.
